By road
The road network in Istria is well developed and of a good quality. The spine road is the B9 (so called Istrian Y), which runs along the western side of the Istrian peninsula and connects Umag; on the Slovenian border in the north; with Vodnjan; close to Pula, in the south. A few kilometres to the east of Rovinj, the B9 links with the A8 which runs to Rijeka (via Učka tunnel). From there, the highway A6/A1 runs to the capital, Zagreb.
One of the key characteristics of Istria is its proximity to the ‘drive-to’ markets in the north, including: Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria in particular, but also Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia.
Kempinski residences – Skiper Villas and Apartments are set on the western side of Istria, just across the border with Slovenia, in a small village called Alberi, Savudrija. Distance from the city of Umag is approximately 9 km.
